Superwoman – The Modern Day Working Mum
Who is Superwoman?
As a modern day working Mum I have been on a quest. I am the mother of two primary school aged children. A wife to a man who has his own company which presents it owns demands and for which I do the bookkeeping. I am a housekeeper – I cook, clean, organise, plan ahead and keep the household on course. I work. I have a career as a Senior Executive and manage a team of people in a very demanding environment. The hours at times are horrendous (people in my office joke that I work until ‘stupid-o’clock’ most nights). I am a friend, a daughter, a sister etc. I do try to fit in social time amongst everything I need to get done. I also do a number of hours working from home on websites and writing blogs!
When I think about this blog, I think about all of the neat material we come across and share with the readers. I personally love this blog and I’m so glad to be a part of it. It’s so encouraging to look around and see your blogs as well. I just really wanted to take a moment and think about why I started this blog and why we are all working at home. Whether you are new to working at home or you have been doing it for a long time, I do think it takes a strong person to travel this road.
This piece of writing will be about the joys of being a working mum and how fulfilling it can be difficult because there is a general misconception that the term ‘working mum’ comes with shunned responsibilities and attached guilt. This is definitely not going to be about that. This will be about the utter elation of being a mother and to be working and running a household at the same time. Some mothers might be able to relate to the joy that a working mother feels while others might get to understand why they should take joy in their work instead of drowning in guilt.
How often have you felt that your life is the most hectic and erratic one? Having to juggle between work and home is the most difficult things a woman has to face and nothing helps her more than having a positive attitude about it. It is important that you realize that you are working for a reason and there are plenty of benefits that you have when you work. True, it can get quite challenging at times, but you are working because of a reason.
Everything nowadays is changing. Due to inflation living cost is increasing every day. To meet the needs of the family it is important for men and women to work together and earn a decent life for their families. Whether people need to pay the mortgage of their houses, or they have to pay for education of their children, they need to earn money.
Working mum is one of the most difficult jobs of the world. Working mum has lots to manage in everyday life. They have to maintain their home, look after their children and also have to work to earn for their family. Due to inflation in present times this has become a need of time. Both partners have to contribute so that they can manage enough finance for their family and maintain a decent lifestyle.
If you are a working woman and have a household to manage as well, then you may find the task a tedious one until and unless you plan your routine with care. Planning is very important if you want to succeed at your job and maintain the respect of the family. To avoid inconvenience, you should write the schedule of each day on a wall calendar. This will keep your partner informed of your routine and will know whether you will be there to take care of the child on that particular day.
