Becoming a mother adds to more responsibilities of a woman at the home front. Not everyone is comfortable balancing both home and work. Being a successful working mother requires lots of determination from the mother’s side to providing the children with the best of everything and also to your job. It is important therefore that you learn how to balance both work and home together. When you are a working mother, you need to set your schedule in such a way so that you can give enough time to both work and take care of your family. It gets a bit difficult if you love work, as there would be times when you would have to side track things at work just to be there for your children, so you just have to be prepared for everything that would come your way.

When you are expecting a child, you often take a maternity leave during the last two months of your pregnancy. This allows you to relax and get the much needed time to enjoy your pregnancy and also prepare yourself for the coming baby. Maternity leaves usually lasts till your baby is about four to five months old, so you would not have to spend much time away from your new born. You should make preparations so that proper care is taken of your baby when you are at work. Having a supporting family always is a plus in this case as your husband or his parents can take care of your new born while you are at work.

You can also appoint a babysitter. Babysitters should be experienced, well aware of what is to be expected out of them, and should be able to take care of the baby in every situation. Having someone to help will make you less guilty of not spending enough time with your children. There are also several child care centers that provide day care facilities for children, so you can always enroll your child in such a center and be at ease.

Being a working mom can be quite difficult in the present times, but there are plenty of options available these days that can make your job a lot easier, and let you be at peace that your baby and children are being well take care of. Support is the most important key, and if you are a part of a big family, then you are just blessed.

This piece of writing will be about the joys of being a working mum and how fulfilling it can be difficult because there is a general misconception that the term ‘working mum’ comes with shunned responsibilities and attached guilt. This is definitely not going to be about that. This will be about the utter elation of being a mother and to be working and running a household at the same time. Some mothers might be able to relate to the joy that a working mother feels while others might get to understand why they should take joy in their work instead of drowning in guilt.

While no one can argue with the people who say that raising the children is a full time job in itself. It is especially hard for mothers who were working earlier but left for their kid’s sake. It all comes down to the mother, doesn’t it? A satisfied mother will raise good children but if the mum feels she has no time for herself then she cannot devote time for kids too. While it does seem logical itself, it is backed up by research, which states that women who are working are reported of having less symptoms of depression, and their overall well-being is better than those women who are staying at home. Once you think about it, it is all about the perception of these women.

In today’s economic crisis, these women may feel that their employment is a source of income which insures that their children will be well taken care of, physically and emotionally. These mums are still as involved if not more, in the lives of their children, interacting with the teachers and the parents of their children’s friends. Actually, working mums provide more opportunities to their children to learn and gain the benefit from. Obviously, part time working mums are at the top of the chain here because they contribute financially to the family as well as spend plenty of time caring for the children’s mental well-being.

So, if you happen to be a working mom, stop feeling blue. Not only you are helping yourself from spiralling down a dark vortex which will result in your questioning your life choices, but you’re being an excellent example for your children in showing them that you’re managing the both worlds; as a strong working woman braving the world and a soft caring mum who bakes them cookies and plays with them at home.

Being a single mother and working are the two most difficult things you can put together, and they are two things that you cannot take apart. In a marriage, there are two people taking care of a child’s physical and emotional well-being but in the land of single mothers, it all falls on her to provide for her child financially and to cater every emotional need because there is no one for her to fall on. The term ‘super mom’ is coined for mothers who handle every aspect of their child’s life, managing the household while also having a job that pays well. So, staying in the bounds of those constructs, every single mom is a super mom.

Work and Problems:

The thing is that a mum who is raising a child alone feels like she has to overcompensate for the absence of one parent. There is this element of guilt for not being there for the child every moment of the day, but knowing that there is nothing you can do about it. Problems that are faced these days with the women who work and have no one close by to take care of their child while they are gone are the difficulties of finding someone trustworthy or a good child care. However, the price tag on both these options seems to be getting steeper and steeper as the days go by. At first, it was women moving to high profile cities to further their careers and now its women moving out of high profile cities back to their home towns to be closer to their parents who could support them by babysitting while the mums work.

How can anyone still judge them for working and ignoring responsibility, while they don’t criticize women who choose not to have kids because of their careers? Kids who see their mums working so hard just to provide the basic necessities for them gain an element of responsibility sooner than children with mums who do not work.

Nurturing a child is a mother’s responsibility but how she does it is her choice and her choice only, is it by showing the child how to toughen up and survive the world or to stay at home and teach them such things vocally. In the end, it should be said that being a mother alone and raising a child is an enormous feat in itself but to do that while working is wholly admirable in a new light.

How often have you felt that your life is the most hectic and erratic one? Having to juggle between work and home is the most difficult things a woman has to face and nothing helps her more than having a positive attitude about it. It is important that you realize that you are working for a reason and there are plenty of benefits that you have when you work. True, it can get quite challenging at times, but you are working because of a reason.

The present world demands it and you love working too! Things could be easier if you are provided with proper help from home or from a good day care center. Taking the time out to be with your children from your busy schedule can feel like a great task, but you should also analyze the importance of being with your kids for the small and big things in their lives. Make sure that you spend quality time with your family and children during the weekends as this is the only time you get with them, uninterrupted. It would also be the time you get to unwind and relax and to enjoy with your children. So, try to make the most of it!

Organizing your schedule can help a great deal. When you make a proper routine, you would be able to give more time to your kids. Before you and your kids head out in the morning, you can have breakfast with them, and also pack the lunch box for them. Meal times are essential time, and being with your kids during their meal times would help in creating a bond between you and your children.

The bigger challenge would of course be when your child is sick. Try to take the day off to be there with your sick child. If you are unable to do so, ask your employers if you can work from home. If that doesn’t work out either then you can always ask someone from your family or a babysitter or a caretaker to come over and take care of your child while you quickly try to take care of things at work. Yes, working mothers have a crazy life, but it is all a matter of prioritizing things and letting you get a break every now and then to be there with your husband as well as children.

What is the most common perspective out there about women who work? Ranging from people who are completely conservative to the people who consider themselves liberal, it is still maintained that when a woman decides to start a family, she should quit all other things that might distract her from this huge responsibility. You might be on the board with this, or you might be on the other side. Let us explore more on this topic.

So, why do people say that mums should not work because of their kids? Obviously, because they are of the opinion that since they’ll be working so much, they will not be able to be there for their children in any capacity except maybe financially; that they would be so lost in their work and in climbing the ladder of success that they would neglect their children. Now, everyone cannot be negated from this criterion, because everyone is their own person but to create a generalized idea, that is not true. For a woman, being a mother is the most important thing in her life regardless of the fact that she is working; she would never wilfully neglect her child.

Some women don’t even want to work, but they do it so that they can send their children to the best pre-schools, schools, high school, and eventually save up for their college fund. The world we are living in these days is not easy on people living in a financial bind. It has become almost essential for both the parents to be working.

Now, to face the concerns of people stating that working mums are bad mums, it has been researched thoroughly that mums who work are in no way a cause of detriment to the health and well-being of their children. There is no social or emotional harm involved. Actually, it has been said that young girls benefit from seeing their mothers working and posing a strong independent persona. Obviously, the most ideal thing would be that both the parents spend all their time with their children but let’s face it. It’s bound to drive someone crazy; either the parents or the children. Space is integral to every relationship, even the sacred mother and child bond like they say “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

Mothers who spend every waking hour with their children are more prone to snapping at them about every little thing as compared to the working women who cherish every moment they spend with their child.

When it comes to praying I would have to admit that it is not something that I really do on a daily basis and I would be slightly embarrassed to say that I can’t really remember the last time I said a prayer, and it would seem that I am not alone.

Like many people these days, I don’t come from a religious family and apart from going to the church with school I never really went as a child. As you know, I now live in Portugal and religion plays a large part in the life of so many, and it is not just the stereotypical type of person that you might think that have such a strong belief, it really is all ages and quite a few of my friends tell me that they pray on a regular basis as well as going to church on a Sunday.

Click here for more information about the Be The Bride of Christ

I know that there is much more to it than this but in Portugal there is a far much more relaxed way of life. People are not in so much of a rush and make sure that they have time for things like praying and to be honest, it is something that I greatly admire about them. They are staying strong to their beliefs and carrying on with their lives in a way which is true to them.

I was talking to a friend only the other day about this very subject and they told me about an ebook that they had recently read which they thought was really good. They said that a great deal of thought had gone into it and if I had any interest in the subject it was something that I really should investigate further.

There is no stopping me when someone recommends an ebook so off I went and purchased the ebook which is available from Bethebrideofchrist.com. I found the name a little off putting if I am going to be brutally honest but as soon as I started reading what the author had to say I would have to admit that the information that it contains really is something of an eye opener, in the nicest possible way.

The basis of this ebook is that it shows you how to pray, now before I go any further I know exactly what you are thinking, you don’t really need to know how to pray, but if you think like this you will be missing the point of Bethebrideofchrist.com. The ebook literally opens your mind and shows you that whatever problems you might be suffering from at the moment, if you pray to God he will be able to help. It doesn’t matter what kind of a person you are, it doesn’t matter what you have done in the past because God will treat everyone exactly the same.

Bethebrideofchrist.com also goes onto to describe how God is always with us all, he made us and it was his intention that we all live a life of abundance. Contrary to popular belief, life was not made for us to suffer but with everything that is going on in the world, so many of us have become completely overwhelmed with one problem or another and a happy life seems to be a million miles away.

Click here for more information about the Be The Bride of Christ

If you think you may be interested in this kind of thing I would urge you to take a further look at Bethebrideofchrist.com. I think you will find it all rather enlightening and if you need some peace and hope in your life it may just be what you have been looking for.

A number of mums who are working have risen quite a bit in the past few years. One might wonder why that is, the reason mostly is because of the economic status of the world, it is just not possible for one parent to handle all the financial responsibilities these days. It is just this one big debate, whether mums should work or not, should it be part-time or full time, should it be from home or an office job.

Let’s discuss one area of interest, i.e. working from home because it seems like a very appealing idea, and it also soothes those wagging tongues who are judging the working mothers. From what research tells us, working from home actually is more difficulty than it is worth. The key to running a successful household while working is to keep your two lives totally separate. Leave the office work in the office and do not bring your stress home with you. That is where it all goes wrong with the mums who work from home. They think that it will be a solution to all the troubles, handling work, and having children in your sight. Not to burst the perfect bubble, but it is nowhere near that actually. What happens here is that, the strain of meeting deadlines and handling the work-related stress has a negative effect on their domestic life and vice versa.

It has been a constant struggle for a mother to work in a flexible manner and not let either life get in the way of the other but sadly that is not how it works. What actually happens is that these mothers only get a fraction of their work done and end up exhausted and tired to boot. Mums cannot be blamed for having this dream of utopia of having the perfect balance between their home life and their work life.

What actually might be a good idea is for mothers who have the children of the school going age to work from home, but not mums who have little toddlers running around begging for attention and constant supervision. Since the children would be gone in the morning hours, the mum will be able to get most of her work done till they come back and after that, give time to her home and her precious children. All mums who work still get a standing ovation because it is no silly feat taking care of your children physically, emotionally, socially and financially.
